Dryer balls use specially shaped outlets that physically break down the stiffness caused by the drying of water in the fabric. This softens laundry without using any toxic chemicals.

The two balls have different tensile strengths (one is harder than the other) and differently shaped softening outlets. The square protrusions compress and soften the fabric, the round protrusions release the tension and hardness of the fiber. When tumble drying, they lift and separate clothes together. They are also heated and transferred in the laundry drum, helping to maintain drying.
